  1. Ahhhh....yes. We all go through this early on in marraige...sometimes we go through it several times :o). Personally, I think Dave Ramsey is the best source for financial wisdom. His website is www.daveramsey.com, but we have always just listened to his weekday radio show. He used to come on 970AM at 3:00 and 4:00, but its been awhile since I listened. He was a millionaire in his twenties, went bankrupt by age thirty, learned his lesson and figured out how to be wise financially. He has some pretty radical ideas...like cutting up all your credit cards (which we did YEARS ago)...but they work!

  2. I have not used it personally, but so many of my friends have used Dave Ramsey. He's a Christian and from what everyone has said, is the best when it comes to money management. I know the program is pricey, but worth it. You should check at your church or local churches and find out if they're offering his class.

Beyond that I'd say the first thing you should do is stop using those Credit Cards, they're trouble and bring nothing but problems. My husband and I had 2, we paid them off and cut them up. There have been a few times we've been tempted to get another one, but we just refuse to put ourselves into that ugly cycle again. I do know that DR also recommends carrying your money in an envelope. I believe (I could be wrong) you write the total amount on the outside and then as you use the money you subtract is, so you always know how much you have on you, etc.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

I did want to comment to that. Thank you for calling Chad your hero, he most definately is ours. As far as "letting" him go to war, that's not my choice, he was in the Army when we married and even if he wasn't, he's the head of our house and he loves the Army. It's not easy for any of us, but following God never is!

God Bless and please stop by my blog(s) again!!!
